Xavier Su-a-Filo
Xavier Su-a-Filo Smiles as he Describes Draft Night

Xavier Su’a-Filo is an offensive Guard for the Dallas Cowboys. As most NFL paths go, Xavier’s career has taken some major twists and turns that, fortunately for us Cowboy’s fans, has landed him here in Dallas with one of the most well-known offensive line groups in the NFL. Xavier is coming into his second year with The Cowboys, and has already established himself as a critical team member on the field, and off the field as well.

After being drafted by The Houston Texans, and playing out his rookie contract, Su’a-Filo decided to take a chance on the free agency market. Without finding the contract he was looking for, Xavier received a phone call from familiar coaches he once knew in Houston. Mike Vrabel and John Robinson invited Xavier to Tennessee to compete for a job in training camp. The job was eventually given to a younger player, as many open NFL roster spots generally are, and Xavier was once again without work.

Just ten days after being released by the Titans, Su’a-Filo received another phone call. This time it was from The Dallas Cowboys front office. The Cowboys were looking for players to bolster their depth at offensive line throughout the season. Xavier ended up starting eight games for The Cowboys as injuries took began to deplete offensive line depth. This season, Xavier will once again support the line, and stay ready to jump into action at a moments notice.
